Rev. Dan Dupuis began his pastoral ministry at the Hudson/St. Lazare Reformed Presbyterian Church in August, 2019. Born and raised in Ottawa, Dan grew up in a Roman Catholic family but left the church as a teenager. It was only in his early twenties that Dan began to question and despair of the life he had been building for himself. It was during this season of despondency and discouragement that Jesus Christ made Himself personally and powerfully known to Dan as the only one who could rescue him and give him a life worth living.
Dan undertook his undergraduate studies at Carleton University (B.A. History), going on to pursue his theological education at Ottawa Theological Hall and the Reformed Presbyterian Theological Seminary in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (M. Div.). His pastoral internship was served at the Russell Reformed Presbyterian Church in Russell, ON, under the supervision of Rev. Matthew Kingswood. Prior to coming to Hudson/St. Lazare, Dan served as a ruling elder in the Ottawa Reformed Presbyterian Church, as well as stated supply in the Russell Reformed Presbyterian Church while their pastor was on sabbatical leave.
Dan currently lives in beautiful Saint-Lazare with his wife, Miriam, and their son, Caleb. He enjoys hiking, bird-watching, and walking with his family. The passion for hockey, instilled in him as a youth, has lived on over the years. An avid student of history, Dan is often immersed in the study of God’s great hand of providence at work in the lives of individuals and nations. But above all these pursuits lies Dan’s greatest passion of all – to know the Lord Jesus Christ and the power of His resurrection, both in this life and the life to come (Phil. 3:10).
